Tips for Correcting Bad Cat Behaviors
Feb 24th, 2006 by Rob
Set rules for your Ragdoll cat and always enforce them.
Don’t participate in activities that promote the behaviors you are trying to discourage.
Give you Ragdoll cat the attention it needs; always make time for your pets.
Always reinforce good behaviors with lavish praises and attention.
You can discourage negative behaviors by providing your Ragdoll cat with alternatives for the behavior you wish to correct; toys and scratching posts for example.
Never punish your Ragdoll cat. Physically punishing your cat will only make it fear you and will do more damage than anything else.
Don’t encourage bad behavior by roughhousing with your cat; this only encourages your cat to be aggressive or bite you for play.
Keep all of your regular checkups with the veterinarian. Some behavior problems are the result of medical conditions.
Do Ragdoll cats commonly have litter box problems? ie. doing #2 outside litterbox.

My Rag does not have litter box problem. I keep moving his litter box from one place to another but he always find it. Ragdolls are the best cats you cab possibly have.

My female 2 year old ragdoll is constantly doing #2 outside of her litter box. It does not matter if the litter box if very clean or abit dirty she still goes wherever she wants to! It is frustrating my family so much we are thinking of finding a new home for her.
