ragdoll catPets have wonderful therapeutic value for their owners. Studies have shown having a pet can actually improve your health. Playing with your cat at the end of a stressful day is an excellent way to unwind and relax. Cats are even used as therapy animals in nursing homes and other care facilities for this very reason. If you already own a Ragdoll cat, you know exactly what I am talking about; Ragdolls make the most lovable and loyal companions you could ever ask for.

Since it the breed was founded in the early 1960s, the Ragdoll cat has won the hearts of cat owners the world over, and has quickly become one of the most popular cat breeds. Their laid back and affectionate nature makes a Ragdoll cat the ideal pet.

Ragdoll cats are prefect companions. They are devoted and loyal to their owners, have a gentle, laid back, sweet-tempered nature with a playful and fun-loving side. Ragdoll cats exhibit many dog like behaviors and will run to the door to greet you upon returning home, follow you from room-to room, and play fetch. Ragdoll cats are not particularly vocal cats, they tend to speak to their owners only when they are hungry or want attention.

Ragdoll cats have a broad head, rounded ears, and bright blue eyes. Ragdoll cats are a pointed cat and available in a number of different colors. They are not a hyperactive cat and are probably one of the most easy-going and laid back animals you will ever see. Their laid-back nature and sweet, docile manner makes them an irresistible pet.

The best way to describe the Ragdoll cat’s temperament is that they are very much into their owners and are “people orientated.” Ragdoll cats typically follow their owners around and want to be a part of whatever you are doing. Your Ragdoll cat will often try and help you read the paper, watch television, even as you do your housework. (without contributing of course)
