The chapter on the cat’s origin covers Ann Baker’s creation of the breed and much of the controversy she started regarding Ragdoll cats. There is a detailed section on shopping for a Ragdoll kitten and choosing a breeder. The section on care and feeding covers which types of food are best and how to read cat food labels.

The section on cat health is quite extensive and covers vaccinations, diagnosing conditions, and emergency first aid.
