in Ragdoll Cats

As a responsible pet owner you want to be prepared in case your Ragdoll cat is injured. There are several items you will want to have on hand in case of emergency. The first thing you want to do is have the emergency numbers for your veterinarian and a 24hour emergency animal clinic posted in a conspicuous place such as your refrigerator.

Here is a list of items you will want to have on hand in case of emergency:

-Antiseptic solution for cleaning cuts

-Cotton Balls and cotton swabs for treating wounds or washing your cat’s eyes

-Safety scissors for cutting bandages and trimming fur

-Antihistamine for insect stings and bites

-Tweezers for removing ticks or insect stingers

-A pet thermometer and petroleum jelly for checking fever

-Bandages and dressings for treating cuts and wounds

-Thick gloves for restraining and a blanket for carrying your Ragdoll cat

Many of these items can be found in pet first-aid kits from your local pet supply store. If you keep these items on hand you will be able to treat minor cuts and injures or stabilize your Ragdoll for transport in case of major injuries. By being proactive when it comes to your Ragdoll cat’s heath and well-being you can ensure your cat lives a long, healthy life.
