Most of what is written here is true. However, don't be mis-lead, Ragdoll cats absolutely DO SHED. Our Ragdoll is a female, classic blue bi-color; 12 pounds. (Females are smaller than males.) She is extremely smart. We got her when she was 9 weeks old; she plays "fetch" like a dog! Sometimes, she will howl, with a paper wad in front of her on the floor, until it is tossed and she can run after it! Our Ragdoll has a terrific personality. She is a great addition to the house.
