I acquired a ragdoll 3 months ago. She is 8 months old. Two problems that she had. 1) Diarrhea. I brought a sample to vet and it was negative for worms. The stool was yellow. I was told it was the food. Suddenly, she had diarrhea with blood. I took her to vet and she stated that sometimes worms do not show up in stool sample. The vet gave her a deworm pill and she was placed on Hills RX R/d food along with an antibiotic. After a week on the antibiotic, she still had a stool that was very watery. I called the vet and I decided to stop the antibiotic. Then the vet added FortiFlora for digestion. Finally, after several months her stool is normal. 2) Fleas. My cat was always grooming herself which I thought was part of a ragdolls routine. After a bath with flea shampoo and another with dawn dish detergent (that you leave on for 5 minutes) and a lot of combing with a flea comb. I got rid of the fleas on her. Then I bought DE FLEA for my cats bedding and everywhere they sleep. Finally, I got rid of the fleas. This DE FLEA is great and kills fleas within a minute. You can also spray it on your cat. Now the fleas are gone and my ragdoll hardly grooms herself, apparently it was the fleas!
