My 7 year old male has suddenly started to lick or pull out clumps of fur from the back rumps. He did this on his stomach as a kitten but after a anti-inflam shot from the vet it went away only to suddenly reappear. He hasn't got flees. I put him on a vet directed diet of special dry omega-3 with supplements. There's been nothing to show he is stressed out and eats like a horse. After all my endeavours after one bold patch clears up he gets another. My local vet doesn't seem to have a clue apart from charging for the visits, food and shots.
