We have a 17 lb ragdoll cat named Squash. We got him from the SPCA two years ago. When we first weighed him, he was overweight at twenty pounds.

The show "Cats 101" recommends making one cup of food available per day. We put dry food in a Cat Food Silo, which makes the food available all day. However, instead of gaining weight, Squash actually lost two pounds in the first six months at our home and hasn't put the weight back on since.

we just adopted a 4 year old male ragdoll.he seems to want to eat all the time. he is 16lbs
should we keep his food dish full or just give him so much food a day.

thanks jim
